Proper respray, as much as I like a bit of Matt/satin action, I think it would be a shame to cut corners with paint when you've put so much effort in to every thing else...

Satin/ Matt black has been done sooo many times before, and IMO it looks cheap, however good you do it (sorry B-Shaw). They've started doing it on new cars, I saw an M3 the other day, did look quite good, but I can see it being a short phase and everyone's gonna copy it, then in a year or 2 time it'll be old and back to being cheap looking again. A proper fresh respray on a car, especially an old car, will completely transform it. Your giving the whole car a new lease of life, why would you skimp out on the paint?

It's your car at the end of the day, but the fact that you can't decide shows you were probably only considering satin to save a bit of money, and you might regret that later on.

Cheers guys :) Thats what i needed :) the other night i was having a hate the car night, i've decided respray it is, I'm gonna do this thing right, satin black would have looked shit after all the effort I've put into this project everywhere else and i know after id done it i would have totally regretted it. Its gonna look awesome painted freshly in gloss in the summer (at this rate, maybe next summer )

Little update, put robbos nicely welded up wings on, just got to filler them, and sort out a few other bits and it can go to be resprayed, GLOSS BLACK :)

Also gave it a little wash to make me feel better about it :)

Think it looked better with pizza and sweetcorn and robbos jiz all over it.
