ahhh thanks for the comments guys... really appreciate it... guy who sold me the shell has moved on to bigger and better things (r32 turbo) and so was breaking the car anyway... hes pretty much taken everything off apart from the engine, looms and dash, but that's all i wanted anyway

in then end i got the engine, looms, dash, custom exhaust, custom subframe, custom driveshafts and the intercooler and all the pipework for a very good price :D

got receipts from the conversion originally for over £7k all done by TSR :D

properly excited about getting it all done !

Looking good mate, should be a rocket when finished!

Also let me know how you get on with putting the dash in, been wanting to do it for a while just need to source a dash and know how hard it is to fit. I'm sure a mate of mine has said it dont need much fabrication other then the brackets?

ill tackle the dash when its driveable :)

I think I almost bought this setup before you did lol :) But I decided to do it myself so I know exactly what has been done etc.

Will keep an eye on this :)

no updates for ages :( apologies

ran out of money and time, now its getting a little warmer though ill get some pictures up of what i have done, basically just buying all new parts

replaced every sensor, belt, pulley, tensioner, filters and a couple hoses.

replaced both front arms and pressed in TT bushes as they're a little stiffer than standard and not as harsh as poly ones

bigger anti roll bar up front for a 22mm one from a 6n2 GTI, poly ARB bushes

powder coated rear axle, mk2 golf stub axles, discs and back plates, mk4 golf calipers

wrapped the downpipe

stuck some reflect-a-gold on the bulkhead

thats about it :)
