guy came to take it for the MOT.. took it to his house ready to drive it to his work today.. batterys flat -.-

turns out the altenator isnt charging the battery

took a battery up this morning and its back on my drive again :(

Get it changed and sorted! If it helps the alternator is the same as whats on a 16v polo i have a spare if you wanna buy one as I'm not miles away dude.

think the problems just bad wiring haha, after all i did it myself

the alternator puts out 13v like it should.. but the charge isnt making its way back to the battery -.-

changed the alternator today as i thought that was the problem.. (what a ball ache that was)

seems its not the alternator thats the issue... something must be causing a drain before the battery get any charge... next step... new starter motor

i was going to change it at some point as its a little slow so i suppose if it helps then great... if not it needed it anyway haha :)

Lol, only came across this topic today, familiar colour on a mk4, familiar engine and dash-conversion as well Guessing my 6N is getting somewhat of a UK twin Best colour on a mk4 imo, good work done on the engine conversion, hope you get the difficulties sorted.

Lol, no, there's loads of similarities, but more dissimilar parts. Take away the colour, and they already looks worlds apart. I actually think it's cool someone else also had the brilliant idea to use that colour and cheers for the compliment!

sorted my charging issue

MOT is booked for tomorrow... took it out for a spin yesterday just to guarantee everything was as it shoudl be

about 15 mins of "spirited" driving and Pshhhhh intercooler pipe fires off... so its like a bumper off job to re-fit (how annoying)

ill update tomorrow with my MOT result
