To say it simply, yes :) straight fit mate.

ok cheers

its only a stight fit if your getting the bumper bk bar with the bumpers as i had that problem lol

what you mean by bk bar?

what you mean by bk bar?

He probably means the metal beam that sits behind the bumper?

Although I've not heard of people having problems with that before.

i bought a 16v bumper of ebay (not sure if its definitly straight fit!) and it didnt fit my polo? so what must i do to make it fit?

pictures speck louder than words

the red arrow shos the bumper bar yours should be the same

the white 1 show just how much u have to grind off

ok thanks

i think i get what i need to grind lol how long does it take usually? what tool did you use to grind it?

also i had an accident and the middle of the bar is bent in, but i got another 8v bumper and it fits nicely on to the car but the 16v bumper dont, will grinding it make it fit?

yeah mater get your grinder out and just take off the bottem bit i highlighted in that picture it made mine fit :)

ok cheers mate,

will try that sometime this weekend hopefully fits otherwise spent money on bumper for nothing

you shouldnt need to grind anything off, I've fitted several sets of 16v bumpers too 8v's and neer had a problem

thats what I've been told but the bumper didnt fit so i guess i might aswell give it a try.

could it be cause it wasnt an original 16v bumper from the dealers?

You don't need to grind anything off. They are a straight fit.

then why does the bumper not fit? it sort of bounces back around the middle part where the bar is

I never had to grind anything off when i did mine, :?

Has your beam been warped in the accident?

its been pushed back like in the middle so it kind of looks like a 'v'

but the original bumper fits alright thats why I'm bit :S

mine never fited i grinded that bit off and the it fitted

well got nothing to loose will just have to try that tomorrow and see what happens.

Mine was the same, because it was a pattern bumper, once you've pushed it on properly and tightened it up it should be fine. I wouldn't go cutting bits off of that bar tbh, thats what takes most of the impact if you crash.
