just bought a remote central locking kit to kit to my 9n which allready has central locking, just finding it a bit old school having the key to get in. looked all over the web to see if there were any places that would tell me and had no luck personally. i was wondering if anyone has any idea where the central locking unit is? and how hard is it to wire up. any help would be much appreciated, thanks matt

the central locking on your car is negative resistive locking and is a one wire system you can find the blue/white unlock wire in the drivers footwell and you will need a 180 ohm resistor fitted in line on the remote locking kits lock wire and you connect both the lock and unlock wires from the kit to the same blue/white wire on the car

The wiring diagram for this keyless entry system made by JOM model number is MN-200 is very poor and gives little information on how to fit it and what colour coding wires is used on my polo and if you need to remove the original central locking control box controller.It also says that VW use a air compressor controlled door locking system is this the case. if you could explain the diagram a little better it would help a lot as it is very generalised.

thanks could you take a look at the diagram

very simple connect as follows

yellow and yellow/black connect to ground

connect the blue lock wire to the cars blue/white lock wire with the 180 ohm resistor in line on that

connect the green unlock wire to the same blue/white wire on the car

connect your red to a 12v+ supply

connect the black to earth

thats it

if you want the total closure aswell connect the blue/black to the blue lock wire before the resistor

I've got to fit a toad rk30 to my girlfriends 9n, I guess that fits in much the same way? anyone know of a howto guide?
