this be my polo

where to begin, had the polo for about a year and a half now, some people may recognise it, so this is how it was last year for most of the shows...

just sat on some BBS RMs, council spec other than me painting them up a nice shade of Elizabeth Duke gold

i'v done a few bits other than wheels and coilovers, 6n2 rears, debadging, de wipering and removing sidestrips etc

but now iv decided its time for a change... so i sold the RMs and bought a set of Rota Zero Plus... yes, fake splits :( and a rep of Equip 01s, but needs must and all that,

its sitting very high right now, so needs to be dropped and get it sitting right.

theres a few bits that need sorting next other than the height issue. I have a new rear bumper sat waiting to go on, my old man decided it would be a good idea to use his barge as a battering ram against the poor polo, so i have a tidy scratch there for now. I'm also picking up my Momo Team 280mm tomorrow.

I'm kinda taking it into a 'JDM' direction, nothing more than inspiration tho, I'm in no way saying i have a JDM Polo :p

that is all, comments more than welcome and i'll update as much as i can if theres interest B)

tbf, 165/50/15s on an 8j is pushing it... but oh well, needs to be mot'd again, only just mot'd recently... but apparently that doesnt count for them, but they want it mot'd again... WHAT?! LOL

nobody has ever died from stretched tyres. fact.

but yeah, they said they didnt like the look of it and said it wasnt safe. so was down to them, just a ball ache tbh

i also asked about Ferraris and the like... he said 'well they're built to be that low, Polos aren't' still makes no sense officer, my car is on TUV approved coilovers, which means i can use them on the road even at lowest setting, but you're going to take my car anyway, just take it.

the camber he just pointed and said 'your rear wheels are under so much strain from lowering that they stick out at the bottom, can you see that?'

'no, thats due to washers we put between the hub and axle' < what i wanted to say, but i just kept my mouth shut!

I'm all for saying fuck the po-lice an stuff but those fronts do look very stretched, I can understand why your average plod would deem them unsafe.

I'm running 165/55 on 8's an they look nowhere near as bad as that.

Apart from that, car looks sick :-D

What tyres are you gonna run instead?

stunningly simple motor pal, love it, smooth the front bumper or get an offset small insert for a plate, btw where did you get the cal plates done?

I love it, all but the stretch.

I'm still going to run the 165/50s tbh, but i have been thinking about 185/45s

its the only way i can get as low as it is, seeing as they're 8j et10, and only way i can get all the tread under the arch
