'07 Polo Headunit Aux Addition?

Featured Replies

I want to plug my ipod into my 07 plate Polo, I have aux leads already (3.5mm - 3.5mm) can these be plugged into the back of the standard head unit and then the cable directed out through the glove compartment, can this be done? Has the standard head unit got this compatibility in the back of it?

Hi,

I have an '07 Polo too and have recently bought and fitted the CTVVGX004.

The Head unit is RCD 200 and connecting the adapter was pretty simple as you use the CD changer port.

Please forgive me for my ignorance on these matters, but since I fitted it I have had a gentle 'crackle' type distortion along with the audio signal. I'm sure it wasn't there before.

Does anyone know if this is an earthing problem and if so, what I can do about it. I had connected the ground cable of the CTVVGX004 to the bolt protruding from the back of the unit as had been indicated in picture I found of someone fitting that product to the same unit.

Any help would be really appreciated.
