hi there people been scanning through the faq section and cant realy find what I'm looking for so...

i wanna use a non fuel return set up on on my gt engine, i belive its the r1 or r6 fuel pump which uses a non return setup due to the fact that the pump shuts off as soon as the carbs bowls are full and kicks back in again when they need filling , am i right saying this please correct me if not,

& shall i use the r6 carbs along with the r1/6 pump?

i know some has done an r1/6 pump jobby on here would be nice to hear from u or anyone else for some advise, cheers

I am quite sure R1 pumps is a non return type because it uses an interrupter to cut out fuel

this is what I found in a pdf diy guide I found on my PC ...

"The R1 fuel pump is best suited to the

carburettors. It contains an interrupter

pump, which stops the fuel supply if the

carbs are full so that you dont need a

fuel pressure regulator."

yea thats exactly what i have heard

so could i use r6 carbs with with the r1 pump or does the r6 pump work in exactly the same way? as the r6 pump would obviously be the best bet for them carbs but just need to know if its non-return?

just thought a gt engine would be better off with r6 carbs due to the 600cc jetting being alot nearer to a gt's needs than 1000cc bike carbs.

also does anyone know what other bit and bobs i would need for this set up besides a manifold, the carbs, pump & old skool ignition setup ?
