Please can people upload photos of 6n2's that have had the front bumper smoothed, with where they have positioned the number plate.

I'm not sure where the best place is going to be and where they have put the brackets too, to achieve the best look.

Mounted on the grille for general use. just zipp tied on for easy removal.

my mates got 2 L shaped brakets screwed to a spare fog grille, just swaps it over for other one at shows

I'm not a fan of off centre numberplates personally, think they throw the symmetrical look of a car right off.

if you think like that then i don't see why you bother smoothing bumper in first place

my front number plate sits nicely in my boot, i think theres no point smoothing your bumpers if your just going to stick the plate somwhere else on the bumper

Errr.... because it is illegal not to show a front number plate?! That may be a reason.

You thinking smoothing a front bumper is pointless unless you dont show a front bumper plate for road use?

I'm quite lost, as said 1 its illegal and 2 the numberplate doesnt have to go in the original position as demonstrated by j-bonham, I dont believe he has smoothed his front bumper, but even so just dropping the numberplate has made the bumper look much better

I wasnt saying that you couldn't. I think that you are being a bit argumentative tbh mate. The OP has smoothed his bumpers because he wishes to (like yourself) but he also wishes to put up his front number plate - which I am guessing to stop himself being pulled over by the police etc. That is his prerogative.

I think your being abit argumentitive mate! Hes probably smoothing a bumper for aestetics for shows etc and it could well be a daily as alot of cars on this forum are, so there for he is doing the sensible/correct thing by making some brackets to fit his plates whilst using the car for day to day purposes to maintain road worthyness! not had a problem for over 6-7 months, never been pulled over for it, and if i did the plate is in my boot, just say it fell off and on way to get new sticky pads for it

yes but that might not work! Depends what copper you get in what mood it's still an offence but yeah good luck with that mate!

Bit of a late reply here. wheels are steffan evos.

Also, i've smoother the recess in the bump strip. and i've ran it many a time with no number plate up....... an have given the old. it's fell of. just need to get some sticky tabs to put it back on officer. works ok for a while untill you get pulled by the same copper.

so i've mounted it on the grill for general day use, the car's a daily! and it's a hassle driving past any coppers thinking "oh god, don't pull me over"...... it's just not worth it anymore.

i know its not a 6n2, but it runs on the same principles.

i cable tie mine onto the front grille...i only take it off for shows.

winter mode FTW lol.
