Sick 16v'r on BBS RM's

Featured Replies

Hi my names Jordan

bought this car last sunday coming from a 1.2 corsa my mate bought it now, i always liked VW's and fell in love with this car when i seen it going to get front bumper re-sprayed new dish's all around, center caps and middle sprayed rich cream! 4 brand new tyers proxyrs or any other tidy ones my mate Joe looked in to it going to get it runing 170 bhp, 4.2.1 manifold full through airfilter induction kit and cammed, remapped , bike carbs alot more ;) we think we can do it in a 1.4! with showcage and sub in spare wheel section center of wheels photos be up later
i wish i took a photo of the car when i bought it, it was stinking the wheels were filth like they aint been cleaned in months and the car wasnt washed perfect! and then when I'm qualified i want to put a 20v 1.8t or a 3.2T audi TT lump! its running 122bhp atm and pulls constant!
brand new engine rebuilt 4k ago runs perfect

pic?

170bhp from a 6n? Engine conversion then...

Yeah more info on that please and pics :)

more new pics tomorrow

Levely car, but i think 170bhp is a huge over estimate as to what you can get from a 1.4 - without forced induction anyway...

i think by the time turbo is on too it would make huge impact!

170bhp is doable, but i cant see it lasting long.

Tommos turbo ABD for example. Fucking monster but i bet it broke not long after the RR day

170 out of a 1.4 16v engine without forced induction is not possible.

My mates was running about 130 and that had:

piggy back ecu

cams

decat

4 branch

bmc

remap

mojor head work

and many many many more!

Of course 170bhp is possible without forced induction. It would require a shedload of money and experience but it's do-able.

Look at bike engines... 1000cc IL4's pushing out close to 200BHP at the crank, they're N/A...

that thing has definatley got an uprated exhaust system and remapped and i think there is a couple of internal stuff on it but cant remember exactly what is on it! lovely car though always used to love seeing it when crofty had it

This car was built by a user on here called Scriv.

Well known car and has done the rounds from what i can see. Doesnt mean it isnt a good car though.

170bhp in a daily driver will be stressful to keep up with bits going wrong. If your a mechanic then go for it. I wouldnt worry about your bhp. id put everything you mentioned in your first post on to the engine. It will be a monster. BHP isnt everything, depends how well setup it is and how it drives. Torque etc..

Contact scriv via PM asking him for a spec on the engine so you know where to go from there.

Boys anything is doable with the right amount of money thrown at it, but unless you rolling in money and have £5-10,000 to spend on a 1.4 you looking at a maximum of anywhere between 130-140bhp unless you go forced induction..

It was nice, but was in such a poor state at UD when i saw it, just neglected, and tatty. I hope you restore this back to its former glory like in that picture! Matt

p.s. blatantly strap an eaton charger to it..
