hiya guys long time no progress, and unfortunatly still no progress - just a biiiiiiig step back

on wednesday me and a couple of mates were heading down to le mans for a week to enjoy first hand the 24 hour race! Long ass journey, everyone tired and with 11 miles to le mans left to go; a women steps out into the road causing my friend to emergancy stop as not to hit her, followed by me locking up all wheels due to herrendous rainfall...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand me mates car...

by far the worst holiday I've ever had; made even worse by the fact that neither of us had Eu beakdown cover... Polo was left at a garage in La Bazage and my legend of a dad got a ferry down and drove to where we were and towed the bmw about 220 miles home with a rope we found which also seemed to snap everytime we crossed a busy round about...

All in all the polois 99%a write off and probably the bmw tooas the ecu is f*cked somehow as well as the rear quarter panel which isnt easily replacable. Probably looking ata £5K claim

1.0L engines for me for a while then.... lookout for the next one !

thanks bud, but I'm afraid it was a choice out of bringing back the polo or the bmw, i think the polo looks like more of a write off dont you ?

Everything had to stayon it when it was left as i didnt have any wheels to swap them with... luckily all is insured properly as 2 days before we left i swapped my insurance to a modifed specialist! So i'll get the value of everything touch wood, but the teddies will be crushed along with the car no doubt - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

And yeah no claims is/will be gone as well a sme having to stick to 1.0L engines for a while now :p You win some you lose some i suppose...

yeah true ! the fuel costs were amazing though got to about 10 miles away from le mans on just over 1/4 of a tank !

can i ask how you know billy ? I feel like i sould know who you are but I'm not sure !
