Really don't want to do this, but after some theiving smackheads have broken into it and "dirtied" my car I can't bear to look at it anymore, let alone drive it, so I want rid.

I've put a lot of hard work into it so far, prepping it ready for a respray and I wouldn't be selling up so soon if this hadn't have happened.

New cambelt, cam seal, crank seal, fuel pump, clutch, all within a few thousand miles, I serviced it about 2 weeks ago.

Only bad bits I guess are the fact it obviously needs a respray, already half prepped, needs a pair of front wings, however if I source a pair before its sold they shall go with it, and the clock on the dash changes its time overnight!

This car is 100% reliable, pull the choke out and it starts 1st time everytime even when freezing cold. Don't let the mileage fool you, this was owned by an elderly couple most of its life, and has been well looked after, any test drive will prove this. No knocks, bangs, drives and stops straight, in fact its one of the best mk2s I've ever had the privelage of owning, pulls well, isn't bad on fuel despite being a 4 speed, manages between 35-40mpgs. Only thing with the engine is due to the mileage it burns a bit of oil.

It would easily pass another MOT with flying colours, and would see another 100k without a doubt. Never been welded and underneath is mint.

I'm not sure what to price it at, but I'l start at £600ono

I must point out that all trims, badges and rear bumper are present, I have today refitted the golf cl badge and rear arch trim. Oh and the cambelt cover is present too, I removed it as I was going to paint that, the rocker cover, and airbox.

as you can see, the sills are 98% rust free

Also forgot to mention this has a rare rear valance, look where the exhaust is and compare it with any other non gti and youl see what i mean. Also has a rare f/r speaker fader on the dash

mine has the same rear valence as this, i never noticed any difference before, nice.
