Hi there not a regular poster with golf stuff however my friend has asked me to put a post up to help him with his speedo problem.

He bought the car with the speedo not working and neither were the MFA and engine temp + Petrol. Changed the clocks. everything is working except the speedo now however the MFA isnt giving any readings also.

He has repliced the drive cable and the drive pin and still has no luck with getting the speedo to work.

Has anyone got any other ideas that he could try.

On my girlfriends focus there was a plug on the back of the gearbox that was knackered causing the speedo to not work. I know its a different car but could be helpful to you.
