Show me: 6N2's not lowered on alloys

Featured Replies

Just want to get an idea of some 6N2's that have not been lowered sitting on alloys(pref 14 and 15's)

Please also tell me what size wheels they are on your car.

Much appreciated, cheers.

You are not going to find a single Polo 6N2 which looks good without lowering, I'm telling you that now.

Thanks guys, yeah I do agree the gap doesn't look great, but I'm hating the wheels at the moment, really let the car down! So I might have to do alloys and then lower it later on.

Dirt-Monkey: How easy was it to fit the new front grill? Is it just the one from the GTI?

Thanks.

Lower before wheels!

Grills are easy to replace. Open the bonnet and then undo 4 clips and then it just comes out.

Really depends what wheels come up 2nd hand as to when I get some anyway. Standard wheels look so crap and way too narrow for my liking!

Lowering- Do you need to replace the front and rear springs? Because when I had my saxo for the short space of time and read about lowering, you just had to adjust the torsion bar for the back, is this the same or different for polos? Cheers.

To lower you need to replace both the front and rear springs/struts.

Standard wheels lowered is much better than nice wheels at 4x4 height.

Is that springs and struts? Whats the rough cost of doing this?

Thanks!

hey dude, id deffo lower it before putting wheels on, even standard steelies can look pretty cool on a slammed car.

althernativly save up until you can afford wheels and suspension and do them both at once.

Id get coilovers as they are completely adjustable so you can get the perfect ride height. You can pick up budget coilies for your car up from about £170+
