need to change the front passenger side wheel bearing on my 6n,how difficult is this task?

If you can get a hold of a Haynes manual - it will tell you exactly what to do.

done one on a rover metro years ago and remember it being a pain in the ass to press the new bearing into hub,used a set of hub pullers to do it and swore i would never do it again but moneys tight and needs must.

got the bearing of ebay for £14

Better than I paid for mine but yea, get a hold of a haynes manual and it will tell you how to do it. It isnt the easiest thing i know that

I'm about to change the bearings on a 6n2

just need a pair of circlip pliers b4 i start!

I'm going to use a homemade clamp i made out of a bit of threaded rod and washers to get the bearings in/out. it worked a treat when i changed the rear bushes :)

stripped it down to the knuckle took it to a machine centre to get the bearings pressed in,circlip that held the old bearing in had to be heated to remove,it was rusted in.
