nope. your best bet is getting it right outa the gun (or can in this case).

I've sprayed my own Polo satin army green (3 times now) and my gf's nova satin black both with a gun. For all the bother to go to prepping for paint and spraying it with a can seems silly to me. I'm lucky to have a compressor/spray gun but they aren't dear to hire either.

Love it, colour is sweet but i dont think red wheels suit it. Get some rear lamps with amber indicators and then do the wheels in a similar amber colour

Not necessarily, I've sprayed loads of stuff (inc 2 cars) with rattle cans and I've never really been dissapointed with the end result. I've got a compressor and gun, bought them when i sprayed my nova matt black a couple years ago but I've never actually taken them out of the box. Rattle cans are just more convenient i think, and if you take your time and do everything propper, then you can get just as good a finish as you can with a gun

When i 1st did mine, there wasn't another satin/matt blue polo out there. Fucking everywhere now :mad:

Flat colours in general, this time last year no1 had really discovered that any colour could go flat. It was all black or nato green.

i didnt think you meant flat blue polos, i thought you were claiming to of set off the flat painted cars look, in general

think of urself as inspirational mate! theres been quite a few flat coloured motors knocking about for a while though. I'm going to try and get my hands on a compressor and redo it. The wheels are getting powdercoated, unsure as to whether I am going to go black or white with them yet. Or maybe black centres with white outers.

I realise the finish isnt great but I'm ok with that as I did it myself and I tried. Aint gunna get any better unless I try. Just means next time I do it itll be better!

You'll find that most of the people who have/are going to, say its a bad finish and you should of got it done at a body shop etc, will never of even held a spray can, let alone painted anything

I think white centres with a blue dish, then a thin white pinstripe before the the wheel meets the tyre (if that makes sense) will look sweet :-)

Its just too much of a unique coloured/finished car for it to have boring black wheels, imo

I like the blue colour choice but the finish looks terrible (yes i know its matt) but seen many with far better looking finish they both look mega patchy like diff bits were done totally different times with different shades, take bshaws for example done satin on a budget yet its a nice finish!

Yea i could have got it done in a bodyshop as my uncle owns one but I want to learn about painting stuff myself. It really is a shit finish but that doesnt matter so much as I know what I need to do to sort it out now. Time will tell! Walshy i like that idea mate. May photochop it and have a look :)
