I bought this car when i was 15 (I'm 25 now!) It was a damaged repairable and had, had a slight knock in the back. It is originally a WHITE CL 1.05L I bought it back then for £400! and had the rear panel cut out and replaced by my dad who runs a repair shop. It then got put in the back of a shed and left for quite some time. Before i knew it i was 17 and ready to drive and the car wasn’t ready. So i bought a MK.2 for £50 while this sat doing nothing!!

Years went on and as i went through my ever growing collection of cars i kept promising myself that id get this old girl out and do something to it!

Finally October last year i had a month off work and after about a week of boredom decided it was time to start......

The car was stripped down and i decided to go for a Satin black paint. Just to give it something to look at i went for a Candy red roof (plasti-can Spray job)

So i got the painting done and then left it again until recently when i got it back out and started to add bits and try and get it at last road worthy!

STILL NOT THERE YET! but I'm slowly getting closer!

The main problem being that as its sat there over the years.. its sort of been a go to for parts if I've needed anything for any of my other polos and so she needed new headlights and things and is still in need of front seats and a few other clips and bolts and bits.

Anyway.. As she sits now with work so far

Standard 1.05 Engine

Audi Quattro Alloys

Satin Black Paint Job

Smoothed side strips and blackned over the holes in rear arches where rubbing strips were.

Polo S Steering wheel

Clear front and side Indys

De-badged grill (but might get rid of this)

Aero Wipers

Reduced lettering number plates

Red LED side lights

Back is striped and I've started building a false floor

GT Rear lights

Pool Ball gear knob in red to match roof (and eventually wheels)

Hoodride stickers!! :)

PLANS:

LOWERING!! x1000000 Need to get rid of the monster truck look asap! Probably gonna go for a 80/90 or something like that.

Might look at putting in a bigger engine. but this one runs sweet, and is low miles. I have a bigger lump in my mk.4 so will probably just keep this cheap and cheerfull!

Maybe something induction wise

Need to find some front seats ASAP! for MOT purposes! lol

I've bought a set of P-slots which I'm having sand blasted and then I'm going to paint them the same red as the roof! Hope that look works. Brave but we'll see?!

Install some ICE. Just fit a head unit. And some good small components. Maybe a sub in the boot but nothing OTT.

Sort the exhaust, coz its blowing somewhere in the middle. Might do the same as my mk4 and put a strait through from the manifold to the back box, and I'm thinking a Cherry bomb? Any advice on this?

And thats it for now! I know its a work in progress and its not even on the road atm. But let me know what you think!? Thoughts? ideas? Opinions!?

AND IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO PHOTOSHOP ME A PIC OF IT WITH A DECENT DROP AND SOME RED RIMS, PREFERABLY P-SLOTS, THEN THAT WOULD BE GREAT!

looking good mate, personally i'd stick with those wheels in silver but i'm not a fan of brightly coloured wheel tbh. it'll look sweet with a good beating with the lowering stick mind

On the car now the rims are Audi 80 Quattro rim that i had refurbed..

I'm leaving the roof red coz i like it like that! :) still not sure on what to do rims wise...

One things for sure tho, pay day on friday and then I'm ordering something to get thing much closer to the ground! lol

UPDATE!

So its been a while since i did anything with this again.. but here is an update on whats been done over the past few weeks....

Sorted out some front seats. Got a set from i THINK a early GT? But someone can correct me on that?

and YES i finally got it lowered! 70mm at the front and 60mm at the back! As you can see in the pics... I'm happy with it like that for now!

Also added a shit load more stickers.. Keeping it all with the Black and red theme..

Got my flase floor finished yesterday and started carpeting it today so more updates on that in the next day or two... but for now here are some pics on how shes sitting today!

Install Sterio properly and update dashboard speakers

The P-Slots are off at the sandblasters.. Going to get them back and paint them Red to match the roof! :)

Paint the Mirriors Red as well! :)

I'm picking up a roof rack for it next week! :)

Might get some front lowering caps to drop it a touch more once its on 14's

and.. then Tax and MOT in time for winter! Gonna use this through the winter so i can take my MK4 off the road and get some body work done to it!

Yest another update... Finished the Floor today, carpet and all!

its has got quiet a lot of room under it and I'm really happy with the job. took my time with it and it looks great IMO. I'm gonna sink a small sub into it and run an amp under it. it works like a boot. the middle section opens up buy a cut out handle bit that i did at the top. But its all smooth so you cant really see. should be good for security and stuff coz it just looks empty even if its not! i think I'm gonna put like a lifter into it to hold it open when i need to. :)

And here is a quick before pic of the rims that are going on it!... Painting them red to match the roof! and ordering some Yoko A359 185/5014's

lol, i see your point there.. i did take about the same about of time building the floor and trimming it as i did the re-spray on the outside... lol... but never mind! Cheers buddy :)
