1.4 16v turbo kit on ebay

Featured Replies

This probably isn't the right section, but there has been a lot of interest and silly posts about this recently! There's a 1.4 16v turbo kit, the seller is stating he got it from the dealer?

thats fucking expensive for a tiny turbo and some shoddy pipework

That doesnt look to clever to be honest like.

i can't imagine that dealerships supply anodised blue BOV's

I'm sorry but that turbo is microscopic.

'What you see is what you get' he's put in his description. Sounds about right.

price as new 2550gbp

 and he wants how much for me?! *faints*

Don't look good to me either :(

Didnt Vw make some sort of 16v turbo though, like a gol or something? And as the sellers from greece they couldv got it over there?

Most likely bullshit iv sprouted from somewhere but meh

*edit* i dont believe that kit has come from a dealer, but i dont think its impossible that you could get one is what i mean

maybe its that coupled with a few after market parts that he fitted to it while it was on his car?

Turbo doesn't look too small to me? Remember it's only a 1.4....Think how quick it'll spool.

I've messaged him for a part number.

I've got all the Gol 1 litre Turbo part numbers! ;)

The exhaust manifold gasket is the same part number as the AFH one............(slowly buying bits up! ;) )

So the gol was a 1.0 16v turbo! sounds awesome! Anyone have any additional info on it?

shaun frazier is contemplating this piece of kit, I'm not sure it looks to nice and id be worried about what it would do to the car =S

There have been copies of the Gol manifold popping up on ebay.de for a few years - Jez had one when he was turboing his 6N.

He is not lying about the price as new... If i remember those kits cost around 3000euros brand new...

And he is missing some things, the extra injector and the injector driver...

That kit used to make 0,5-0,6bar and produce 150hp, but when people was increasing boost @ 1bar, the AFH rods were bending...

The kit is not of course from a vw dealer....

I'm confused, so this would work on a AFH engine?

That is an Autotest turbo kit that seat was selling. It was extra, it was fitted from a seat dealer and it was providing factory guarantee...

And yes its for the afh

i remember these kits from way back yonder (circa 1999-2000) they were made by some italian company and iirc they came with an ecu too that you swapped for the original one, but i dont ever recall seeing one for the afh lump, only the later 75bhp units in the lupo and 6n2 polo
