hi all ,,,right I've got a mk 2 bready 1.0 its been really great until last week ,,,,it developed an oil leak quite bad that it bought the oil light and buzzer on,,after finding where the oil leak was and repairing ,,it was the oil pressure sensor had split,,,replaced with a new one from lincos and now cant stop oil light flashing and the buzzer going any ideas thanks steve

Had a similar problem on a Mk2 Golf (don't know how much they share in this department) but after a lot of new parts and time, we discovered the problem was actually in the dash cluster itself... worth a wee look, it was easy to see where the tracks on the pcb were damaged when it was out.

Have you checked to see that you're actually getting oil pressure ok?

yeh got pressure,just been to scrapyard and got another sensor fingers crossed

I had this problem on my mk 2 bready and it was the blue plastic behind the dash, one part of it was touching when you got a bit of wind about 30mph so i taped up the bit where it was touching and it stopd.
