Rear Rattle

Featured Replies

As title says - Fitted coilovers a week or 2 ago, and I've just noticed a small rattle from Passenger side.

It sounds as if it could be coming from the Top mount area.

Just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences and what the cause was?

I Think I will take the strut off and check grease the top mount area?

I've got a list of things it could be, But dont want to have to go through them all.

Rear Foldable seat rattle

Rear interior body panel rattle

Interior Boot rattle

Topmount issue

Bottom of the strut needs greasing (unlikely because it would be a creak)

Mounting of strut to topmount not tight enough

EFFORTT :(

adding to your list...

rear light cluster.

i have a rattle from the rear on the drivers side but it seems to have gone away on its own now, squeak was located in the plastic roof bit above the rear bench.

also are you sure its from the rear? i had another squeak which i thought was coming from the rear but it was my front anti-roll bar! bit of copper grease solved that one!

You should really keep children in baby seats, not the boot.
