I can see why not everyone would like them, personally I love them, the way he writes these random conversations in the script is superb, Pulp Fiction in particular..

Jules: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... stop right there. Eatin' a bitch out, and givin' a bitch a foot massage ain't even the same fuckin' thing.

Vincent: It's not. It's the same ballpark.

Jules: Ain't no fuckin' ballpark neither. Now look, maybe your method of massage differs from mine, but, you know, touchin' his wife's feet, and stickin' your tongue in her Holiest of Holies, ain't the same fuckin' ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same fuckin' sport. Look, foot massages don't mean shit.

Vincent: Have you ever given a foot massage?

Jules: [scoffs] Don't be tellin' me about foot massages. I'm the foot fuckin' master.

Vincent: Given a lot of 'em?

Jules: Shit yeah. I got my technique down and everything, I don't be ticklin' or nothin'.

Vincent: Would you give a guy a foot massage?

[Jules gives Vincent a long look, realizing he's been set up]

Jules: Fuck you.

Vincent: You give them a lot?

Jules: Fuck you.

Vincent: You know, I'm getting kinda tired. I could use a foot massage myself.

Jules: Man, you best back off, I'm gettin' a little pissed here.

"Your ancestors are niggers. Uh-huh. Hey. Yeah. And, and your great-great-great-great grandmother fucked a nigger, ho, ho, yeah, and she had a half-nigger kid... now, if that's a fact, tell me, am I lying? 'Cause you, you're part eggplant."

that's a line from one of the best written scene's i've ever seen in a film (imho of cause), although the whole film is full of classic scenes. it's from true romance, written but not directed by Tarantino

I think what made me think that the non action bits were boring was that I was watching it with a group of Lads, We wanted Action from begginging to end!

And on that note, anyone seen Crank with Jason Stathom? Quality Film!!

Matt Damon makes an old mini look good in The Bourne Identity, but stunts aint what they used to be - in the original Italian Job the stunts were actually more impressive than on camera - They failed to record the 80ft jump properly.

Waiting for the drivers on the other building was a big double shot of whisky each!

Ronin is entertaining, but its easy to forget those american films that never made fame despite having epic chases - one i remember was a brown car in 70s america with black wheels and white tyrewall writing. Epic drifting between highways, with such stunts as a harbour jump onto a boat, its one of those obscure ones i watched as a kid that i dont remember the name of.

Dont forget Bond - never epic but usually entertaining none the less.

I`m glad someone mentioned The Frech Connection. I was thinking earlier that the car chase in that has to be among the greats.

Bond's changed IMO, as soon as they brought the ridiculous CGI into Die Another Day I just lost all hope in the series..

Then the 'car chase' in Casino Royale which was basically the DBS driving down a road at night for 15 seconds then flipping over and crashing.. :smirk:

Last good one I can remember was the Ferrari 355 vs. Aston Martin DB5 in Goldeneye around the mountain roads, that was a hella cool scene 8-)
