Well, Been on here quite a while now as had a GT before which i bought of Mr.P, sold it and regretted it ever since.

Anyway, bought a Polo GTi (6N2) and got another craving for a GT, and as luck would have it rich (MrP) had one he wanted to swap with so went down the same day and picked her up.

Heres some pictures the day i went to see/got it:

Mods wise it has:

Newman 270 Cams

Jackson Tuning ARB blocks

Poloace 8k limiter chip

Powerflex TCA arm bushes (outer and inner)

Lower strut brace

Rear Axel Spacers (20mm)

New Copper brake pipes from the compensator back

Rear goodridge flexi's (you have the front)

rebuilt cylinder head with lapped valves, new stem seals

Rocker cover and cam gasket with rocker cover bungs

Inlet and exhaust gaskets

custom made rennsport 4-1 manifold

custom Longlife stainless exhaust, straight through mid section with a flexi

GTI 8v air flow metre with a modified GT air box and pipercross filter

new vacuum pipes

New lambda

New clutch cable

New throttle cable

Full service (oil, filter, spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm)

Vagtool checked with no faults

full G40 interior

Scirocco tilt and slide sunroof running gear modified to fit the original sunroof skin

Aftermarket 300mm steering wheel

PPP heavily ported G40 inlet manifold

De-wedged throttle body and heat thingy removed from the air elbow

Philips extreme power bulbs with matching sidelights

Late spec rear lights

De-badged grill

bee sting aerial

As soon as i got home, i took out the rear wiper and ordered some new plates and a remote central locking kit. Also, to make her look like my old gt, i bought some red pinstripe tape to put down the side, which left her looking like this:

Then on friday, i went to meet a guy in leeds to get some ats classics, which then turned out he would only meet me at manchester and then decided not to turn up, so a wasted 200+ mile trip, but on sunday just gone, collected some 13x7 Borbet Atiwes with pretty much new Yoko's on, go home and went to fit... but rear bolts where too long... so today got some spacers and now she looks like:

But when i put the rears on, i noticed the passenger side exceeds the arch much more than the drivers as shown here:

anyway, took the spacers off and got shorter nuts and she ended up looking like:

After this i then bought the newman 270 cam and fitted it with rich (hero):

Sounds awesome and pulls like a train, happy days!

Really want to see what shes pushing out now, guessing around the 100bhp mark!

Also ordered a Momo Team 280 today so waiting to get that delivered and fitted.

Future mods include getting some rear coilovers to stiffen and lower the back end along with rolling the arches to accommodate the 13x7's

After that think it may be treated to a full repray later in the year to get her in mint condition!

seen you over tpark tonight mate was in my bro's green bmw e36 coupe and sat with a black e36 and a red corsa the car looked absolutly perfect mate u made me very jelous and i dont even want to get mine on the road now coz yours makes mine look shit :p

Well with the 8k poloace chip in it pulls really strongly now all the way upto 7+k revs, but my inlet manifold has been heavily ported too so I'm sure that helps alot.

if you can get a performance cam for arounf £120-130 i recon its a good mod worth doing, sounds naughty on tick-over too :)

Yea I've seen them on another black coupe, i keep tempting my self into making them a bit different, but at the mo she looks well on them so it doesnt bother me much, i mean, i was gunna get classics and look how many cars have them on now!

Wish it could go lower, but if you look at the front on picture, you can see that the lower anti roll bar and the 4 branch are less than an inch from the floor alread and scrapes on cats eyes!

the back on the other hand, that needs dropping!

absolutely loving the look of this mate, very tastey spec to go with it aswell. i would hope to have mine up to that standard at some point. the only thing i would do to this is just carry the stripe on to the front of the wing
