started out like this -

This was a test wheel, just to see how'd they look, hence the shite paint finish

Polishing was done by a legend of a mate that's a dab hand with wet and dry :)

took 4 bastard hours to do one :(

Could look good with a LOT more work put into them.

The spoke bits need a savaging with the 800, they look really flaky. And id be tempted to polish them a bit more

However, the idea is promising!

Also, id try not to use a wirebrush, alloy is only soft and it marks. I know from experience :(

Aye, the wirebrush only came out to play because they were powercoated, took most of the time getting it off :/

as said it's just a tester, so they've only had a quick polish up, literally a hours worth of on/off :)

oh and it's only one coat of paint aswell :)

Its how i had to get the powdercoating off the teardrops and the RA's. Sandblasters wont even touch powdercoat as it bounces off

And polishing after they have been blasted will be a fucking massive ball ache!

I took the RA's to a blasters, they did there 15 min test on um. After that 15 mins they had literally done about 4 inches of the rim, not even that. I would have taken hours to do one wheel, let alone 4.

I'm refurbing the Jettas original 14" letters at the min, I've spent about 8 hours so far and I've only just stripped off all the silver paint on them

cough, buy some standard none powder coated scala's. . .

I'll be attacking them all night tomorrow, my mate in the pic has all the wet n dry :/

And I wasn't in scraggy clothes neither, was a nowt better to do moment

and rich, these cost me 30 quid about 6 months ago, show me a set for cheaper and I'll buy them aswell
