Question for CK Insurance

Featured Replies

Quick question for Chris Knott.

Your insurance information says:

The scheme starts for ages 22 and over for Comprehensive cover, & 19 and over for TPF&T cover, and you must have at least 1 year's NCB (unless you have NCB on a second car or a company car letter to state at least 1 year's claim free driving).

I'm looking to insure my first car (under my own name) so was wondering if you could help.

1. You say about needing 1 year's NCB, I am currently a named driver on a policy with Direct Line who allow named drivers to gain their own no claims discount, if I was able to get a letter from them saying I currently have 1 year no claims, would it be accepted under your scheme?

2. Would being 22 only 5 months ago be a problem with your scheme?

Looking forward to a reply

EDIT - quick question I have just thought of, I see on alot of sites they ask how many cars are within the family, does it make a difference how many are at 1 address?

Hi

1.Unfortunately we don't accept named driver NCB. Sorry.

2.No problem.

3.Only for drivers aged under 25 on their parents policies as insurers assume that if there is more than 1 car in the family then the young driver must be the main driver!
