bought this last month for £200. its a 1.3 genesis with spaceship mileage

first job - get rid of the side strips

and paint the roof

then bought some -70mm ebay special shock/springs

debadged grill, clear front indicators and some 13x7 minilites

wheels needed a refurb so i thought id have a go at polishing them myself by hand, and also slapped a bit of colour on them

tint sprayed the rear lights and side repeaters in red

and one of the roof which I've dedicated to rich coz he's a bit of a man loving butt muncher

haha i know, i've always had golfs (mk2 and mk4), so didnt bother posting. Registered back then to look for wheels for the mk2

I'm not sure, i bought them with the wheels. I'm sure google will be your friend if you type in wobble bolts

couple of pics before the colour change

started sanding the new bonnet

sticker off

then got the roller and chalkboard paint out again

Decided to have a go with filler for the first time to sort out some minor dents and scratches

and trialed the new colour on the bonnet (hammerite copper).

i wasnt too sure on the colour so did half the car to see how it looked (paint was put on with a roller haha. so much easier)

still wasnt sure on the colour so decided to paint the other half in chalkboard paint

loved the matt black look a lot more than the copper so i did the whole car in it. cost me about £8 in paint and about 2 hours to do the whole car. Bargain
