1988 Mk2 Scirocco GT (1.6 Litre) OEM+

- 96,000 miles-ish (will not increase due to odometer being lazy, explained in bad points)

- 11 months MOT (passed on the 1st of may) one advisory, O/S/F ball joint on the wishbone, though the mechanic said it was pretty negligible...

- 6 months tax

In the time that i have owned the car i have:

- re-built the top end of the lump with new gaskets (including head gasket) and seals + valve seats. and replaced studs and head bolts at the same time.

- cambelt

- twin choke webber with ITG foam filter + manual Choke

- dizzy cap and arm + leads

- N/S/F wheel bearing

- N/S/F driveshaft

- N/S/F Track rod and Arm

- couple of boots

- Front top mounts

- replaced door cards, dash, spoiler, gearknob, F+R speakers, dash bulbs, and put in a VDO volt meter

- both front brake callipers

- Full Jetex exhaust system

- Weitec Ultra GT shock and spring kit lowering the car 45mm all round (sits and handles beautifully)

- Corrado Front seats (very good condition!)

- Steering wheel from MK3 Golf GTI

- BBS with spacers on the rear (good tyres)

theres a few more bits and pieces that i cant remember off the top of my head, but you get the idea that she's had a bit of an overhaul! and I've got loads of receipts and documentation

on exactly what i have done

The reason I spent so much on the car being that the Shell is great. I challenge you to find rust on this car! (other than the odd bubble which was quickly dealt with)

the body work it pretty good, just the old little dent and stone chip.

bad points:

- in the last month or so the odometer has kicked up a fuss and decided it doesnt want to read how many miles I'm doing (though i only do a couple of miles a day, if at all. so the

milage wont be too far out)

- think a wheel bearing is on its way out but i may sort this before the sale - THIS IS NOW FIXED

- Maybe not a bad point = the clutch cable decided to pull though the bulkhead (common fault) which has been welded up with thicker metal to prevent it from happening again!

Overall she is very tidy, great fun to drive, and extremely reliable, gets alot of compliments and even laughs in the face of a cold morning!!! which is rare for a 22 year old carb lump.

Looking for £1850 o.n.o will consider p/x. my phone number is 07869373837, call me or reply on here.
