Where is the best and coolest places to photoshoot your cars?

I am yet still to visit Leake Street, London

I drove down to Bournemouth for this location!

I find industrial estates work pretty well, found one by me recently which is deserted on weekends

Graffiti walls are pretty awesome

As are run-down old industrial areas

Damn my rocco looks high in those two, they were october last year mind! :-D

Something that suits the cars style would be best

But graff walls always look good in car pics :-)

It all depends on what suits your car. I personally go for anything that looks like it could be from 1977. Suits the vehicle that way,

Finally got myself to Leake Street. This place is AMAZING!

But to pull it off well you need a pretty decent camera and if you only got a Compact camera then using photoshop to add lighting and shades is a big must

very amature but i like it

a good location is only half the story, you need to get the angle just right to make the most of the back drop, if you get that wrong you might as well just be taking a photo in front of a brick wall.

a little tip, if you can't find a cool location then use fire. honestly what is cooler than fire or explosions?

sorry about the quality of the pic but it was taken on an old camera phone, but could maybe give you some idea's as to how to spice up your shots

we've been trying to figure out how we can incorporate explosions in to a photo shoot without maiming ourselves in the process, but it's looking to be harder than we thought tbh

Took this inside a disused WW2 fighter station in Scotland...would have

taken a few more around the other buildings but a bloody "jobsworth"

Running form security seems to come hand in hand with photography these days.

There hasn't been one shoot where haven't been asked to leave other than the Bounremouth one!

You've got to know your rights and whther your on public or private land, as i asked to move from a forrestry commission site the guy comes up says move on etc and threatens me witht he police, i then siad call the police as i was public land with nothing more than a camera.

He then looked rather annoyed and left. :-D

I've had this experience, Its getting out of hand. Every Joe Bloggs security man thinks they are the law.

To be fair I always say "Call the Police then" if it takes them 20 mins to respond to a robbery, it will take hours to respond to the call of "someone taking pictures of a car on private land" and by the time they arrive, you will have wonderful pictures and have left!

Print out a copy of Photography & Tresspassing laws and keep them in your camera bag!

Actually Securtiy guards have the power to detain you....i know because i work in security...I'm a doorman and we have the right to detain people while waiting for the police to attend. i know also from having done the security guard part of the course too, they have the same powers.

you need to be careful of this as alot of people are applying for their security license these days and the quality of staff is seriously depleted so most will do anything to detain someone and you could find yourself up against a glorified thug on a power trip
