Lupo 1.4 S, Yellow with subtle mods.

Featured Replies

The time has come to sell the wifes Lupo 1.4 S as she now has a Mk4 Golf. It comes with 97K on the clock, 1 months MOT and 9 months TAX.

We've owned the car for over 5 years now and those of you that have been around for a while may know this car.

Its been the "Detailed Taxi" at Edition 38 a few years ago and the year after was at Ultimate Dubs with full leather and RM's.

The car is now back to a more subtle look but still has a few choice points!!

These include FULL GTI trim INC the door cards and matching mats which I have to say are MINT and usually live under seat covers (just taken off for pics), Coilovers, POP OUT rear windows, rear boot spoiler, VAG grill and painted instrument cowel, MOMO steering wheel with matching gearknob, VW blade wipers (not cheap copies), K&N panel filter and GTI pedal covers.

The car currently sits on single piece BBS rims but TBH the rims could do with a polish up and 1 tyre is needed BUT I do have the original VW wheels all with good tyres and BOTH sets of rims are in with the sale.

The car had VW dealership history till 41K, the next service was at PSI Tuning and then i've taken over the oil, filter and plug changes.

The car threw a timing belt last year and had a FULL top end re-build to the tune of £650 again at PSI Tuning with reciept to prove so the engine is SOLID. It also had a clutch fitted in FEBUARY of THIS year and has been in for the VW pedal box recall at our local dealership.

At Ultimate Dubs a few years ago:-

Now as with any car of 10 years old there are a few points to make you aware of:-

The drivers door has a dent (see pics) caused be the loss of the door check strap (a common thing with Lupo's), a decent dent man should be able to sort this as the paint isnt broken or creased, I may even get this looked at myself.

The numpty that fitted the clutch did'nt change the clutch release bearing and you can hear this now and then till the clutch is depressed, ALL gears are fine and the car has been driven daily with no problems whatsoever, just needs attention, if your mechanically minded its a couple of hours work and i'm not.

Finally you need a gaiter for the gearstick as the modded one went when I sold the trim on, again Premier is only round the corner so I may ask em to knock one up for me.

The car is a real little headturner and other than the points above (small but I want to be honest) the car is ready for the summer, I'm gonna finish detailing it over the next few days as I actually enjoy it but you can see it any time although i'm at Dubmania this weekend and not in the car as I need space for all my DJ gear!!

Now for the price, taking everything into account and seeing the silly prices about on Ebay/Autotrader and forums I think £1100 is a fair price.

You can contact me on 07956570260 ANYTIME as i'm a night-owl or email valverpaul@hotmail.co.uk.

Cheers for looking,

Paul.
