Hello one and all. I feel like a change, so am putting my mk2 up for sale or swaps. Car is in Norwich, in Norfolk. To be honest, I'm more interested in a swap, particularly for a mk3 golf or mk3 or mk4 polo, but try me on anything, doesnt even need to be VAG!

Right, I'll keep it simple, it's a 1989 mk2 1.3. 3 door, non sunroof. Done nearly 95k, taxed for a couple of months and MOT'd til December. Slightly Rat Looked, but easily changable if thats not your thing (New bonnet or repaint the one on there, petrol cap and a wing mirror and its back to normal). I basically bought it off ebay without seeing it, and it turned out to be a heap of crap, so over the last year, nearly everything on it has been serviced or changed;

Brand new rad, with coolant drain, flush and refill,

Brand new thermostat housing and thermostat,

Brand new dizzy as the hall sender went on the old one,

Brand new alternator as the voltage regulator packed up on the old one,

New plugs, leads, cap and arm,

Brand new coilovers, still with about 20mm more to go down, for super lowness,

All four wheel bearings replaced,

New top mounts when coilovers went on,

New TCAs, again when coilovers went on,

Four new tyres (lower profile 185/55) on GTi steels, with beauty rings,

New shoes and brake cylinders on the back with full system bleed,

Full gti interior with black carpets, including rare rear suspension turret carpet, and steering wheel,

Space saver spare wheel,

Oil and filter change last week,

Fantastic stereo including competition JBL 6x9s, sub, amp, door and dash speakers, which will be included for the right price/ offer,

Badgeless grille,

Armour door plates,

New clutch cable,

New throttle cable,

Front pipe and centre exhaust box done last week,

Iron cross peep mirror,

and tonnes more that I'm sure i've forgotten.

Bad points;

Clutch is stiff, cable has been changed but made little drifference, so if a hard clutch is a problem for you, itll need changing. hasnt got any harder in the time I've owned the car though.

Both front wings are crispy on the bottom,

Couple of rust spots here and there, but nothing scary,

Couple of little bits of interior trim missing,

Exhaust could do with new rubbers as it knocks occasionally.

Thats about it. its a fantastic car, that with a tiny bit of effort could look superb. So reliable now, its not funny, currently getting about 80 miles to a tenner of fuel (at 1.16 a litre).

This is the last chance, otherwise I'm keeping it, doing the little bits, then painting it!

More pics are available, sadly, these pics dont do the car justice... bad lighting, filthy car needing a polish etc. Looks much nicer in real life, i promise!

I'm inviting offers, but would honestly prefer a swap, or px with cash my way!

All i can offer on a swap is a mkII polo, not quite the mark III golf you're looking for but its only done 55k.

Not too sure of a price, as i'm really looking for a swap... maybe £850 with room to haggle?!
