Evening all,

Unfortunatly due to recently getting a company car I am having to part with my much loved Mk1 as both the parents and girlfriend are complaining (not a good combination!).

Quick spec list below:

Tax until march 2011

MOT July 24th 2010

Single lamp grill

Crystal headlights

HID headlights

recently resprayed in the original mars volta red

1.3 driver (cheap on fuel, cheap insurance)

Lowered on Vmaxx coilovers

Full gti interior with leather door cards and GTI steering wheel.

Almost rust free shell with only 92K on the clocks (slight bubble on drivers wing).

Mk2 1.3 engine with auto choke (fully working) and 5 speed gearbox

BAD BITS:

Couple of minor dints around the car (expected of a 1983 car!!).

Dint on drivers wing by headlight, ideally wants replacing to make mint (this would also get rid of the only bit of rust on the car!!

Speedo cable has decided to pack in so will require replacing.

The car has been great fun, doing several trips to leeds for me (90 miles round trips) which have always been comfortable and fun drive not letting me down once!! She always turned heads especially on the motorway as there is not many in this condition around anymore.

The car is a dream, well it's my dream MK1, but unfortuanlty I am unable to keep it and hope it gives sombody else as much joy as it has myself!

I am not going to do a full advert as yet as I want to put it through its MOT this next week so it will come with 12months test.

Haha, I'm sure I can sort some form of deal out for you mate, you still got the almighty polo?

After checking through the service history today, the MOT isnt due until 24th July so can't get it tested until begining of July.

For that reason I'll change the price to offers around £1,500 as I could really do with it gone before then!!

Will give it a wash and get some photo's up this week to show how nice she really is!!

Noo mate sold it december time, kinda miss it now tho, was a real solid car, had to sell it to buy a van. but now iv gotta few quid i was looking for something abit cheaper and aircooled, just thought id comment to bump your thread up abit. haha

Good luck with the sale mate shouldnt take long to sell it not many decent and resonably priced mk1s about these days especially ones that have had bits done on them like this one.

once i see pics i may be interested. I've been on the look out for a mk1 for a while now just not finding the right one.

Apologise but my wireless decided to start playing up so will get on here as much as I can!

I am currently working 6 days a week so do struggle too get much outside of this done! however am hoping the sun will be shining on Sunday so I can give it a good detail and get some photo's taken for you guys.

Bought this as it is an abosolute beauty and I've wanted one for some years now, but I am now running a 300BHP audi TT with work and shes just sat there looking sorry for herself not getting used, so i would rather pass on the joy to someone who will look after her how she deserves!

really sorry to keep everyone waiting for photos, still haven't had chance to give it a quick detail and get some decent photo's as yet.

She should go through an MOT no probs, just haven't got anytime to get her to a test station!!

As i said above i will drop from £1600 to sensible offers around £1500 to accomodate for the fact i can't get her to a test yet as the earliest you can do it is 4 weeks prior to the actual expiry date, and really need her shifting.

As it should be ok and i believe not need anything doing i'm happy to do this for peace of mind for the buyer, but obviously the only bummer being that i can't guarentee that it will not need anything doing for the mot as everything is down to the personal descretion of the tester!!
