Hello and Welcome my first proper build thread! After owning a string of pre modified cars I've now got the chance to do one on my own, start to finish! Got lots of exciting ideas and will update on a regualr basis so keep your eyes peeled and let me know what you think :)

Ok so After the dark avenger (samJ6n's old car) died :( I looked at a few gti's but then decidied I'd actually rather have some money to live on for the month so I went out and bough this little gem....

2001 Polo Match, 1 owner from new, fsh, minter!!

Obviously I couldnt wait to get started on it so my bank account got another beating and I picked up...

-BBS RA's (thanks HenryG40)

-Jamex coilovers (Which are actually surprisingly good considering some of the horror stories I heard on here when I researched budget coilys!)

-Full tracking and camber set up

-Stubby Aerial

-de-wipered the boot

-Kenwood headunit

-A load of stickers ready for some tactical placement

A very early morning session in the workshop...

And the finished Item! (for now anyway!) Well pleased with it! And considering its on budget tyres and coilovers it drives really well.

Next up on the list is a gti grill and a BMC kit, Also Id like to get the wheels refurbed in black :)

I wouldnt go for black rims... i've seen those in white on a white mk2 and it looked sick, but its your car at the end of the day

Thanks mate! yeh Its going well, bit more fun doing it this way rather than buying one that someone else did!.

Yeh I had black rims on my old 6n but that car was black, maybe I'l go for like gun metal grey or just the same colour as now.

some people were saying go white but I think itd look a bit much

Check my thread out, i refurbed my rims in BMW sparking graphite, they look quite light on their own but as you can see when fitted they're almost tyre coloured

thanks for the input, white is definatly an option, your mk2 golf looks sick btw! I love golfs I want a mk1 but a decent one is just too hard to find and way too expensive

Cheers dude, I'm running RA's as you may be able to see. I'm thinking of spraying them white. They are tucked way far into the arches at the moment it looks silly, i need to get some stance, spacers and coilies on order soon, its on springs!

The 6n2s looking good tho mate, i like what youve done so far, and gti grill plus spraying the RA's black are both good choices

No mate not at all, I read up alot about coilys and of course alot of the die hard boys were really ripping into them so I was a bit concious when I fitted them but I'm well pleased. I wouldnt even say the ride was as hard as my old 6n on budget coilys.

Hey people!! Just an update on the 6N2.

So ordered a new bonnet bra yesterday at 10.30am, and today at 5pm it arrived!! £45 from cobra bra on ebay, dont be put off by there lack of feebback its all positive for a reason!!

anyway it's just as good as the autobra one I used to have so I slapped it on for a few pics, I think it'l look much better with the gti grill....

another bonus today was my free wheelwhores goody pack, all this plus another air freshner... :)

basically I bought some stickers from them a while back and when they came they were all cut up, I got in contact and the people over at Wheelwhores where more than happy to help, Fantastic customer service and the air freshners were an extra surprise! :) so thanks guys!!

yeh but your car looks mint mate, the white is nice but a bitch to keep clean!! just get yours sprayed up!?

yeh the black roof is a nice idea actually, got a few other bits to spend on first though, the clutch is quite worn so probally get that changed next :/

yeh I'd be well tempted by the porsche wheels youl have to let me know when you sell them!!
