Good points: Recently rebuild engine 3f (full GT loom and AHD GT box., cleaned injectors, relapped valves, new head gasket, replacement waterpump, new cam belt, new alternator belt, new stem seals etc...) (less than 200miles on it) Nice BBS RS Gold and polished alloys originally from mx5. . Decent sunroof-never leaks!, lowered 60mm on springs (but sits high at back?!?), 2001 seats (modded to fit) debadged grill, clear front indicators. nice light blue metallic, could do with a t-cut and polish!

Bad points: I bought for my wife to use but now with a baby on the way we really need a bigger car. Both front wings dented, especially drivers side where i tried to knock the lip out a bit to give more clearance for lowerage and bigger alloys (14's) dent in tail gate (wife argued with a flowerbox) strange ding/ripple at rear drivers side, needs a throttle body position sensor, car occasionally runs very grumpy but usually great. a few rust spots around wheel arches and elsewhere.

Also forgot to mention it doesn't have the GT rear axle so NO ARB.

Currently i dont have the rear seats in , but have them, i was going to fabricate mounts to fit the rears but never got round to it. with a skim of filler te car would be straight and sexy! I would have tidied it myself, but kitchens and my wifes beetle have meant i'll not get the time!

Location: Northants (near Kettering)

Also, kettering is um, in the east midlands, imagine birmingham and then go right a bit (well a lot) on the A14, not too far from junction 21 of the M1.

Also the sony head unit won't be included.

Still registered as a 1.0 have the 1.0 engine if you want to change it to a 1.0 MPI with GT head?

Would you swap for a '97 polo saloon in dragon green?

I think he did a 1.0L->GT conversion himself so unlikely to be a GT that you might have previously owned mate. I could be wrong though!

No it was a 1.0 and is still registered as such. I got it from far away wales!

Shame to break mate - lots of nice touches with the engine, especially with most bolts being replaced with SS versions...!

If you can I'd try to hold out until it's gone through it's next MOT. A year's MOT and 6 months tax and it'll hopefully sell easily for it's true value.

yeah i might do that, ideally tho, someone will pick it up who wants to tidy it up and give it the love it deserves!

Also it really needs new brake shoes, they're shot at the mo so the handbrake is crap and they bind slightly after being stood for a while!
