So heres my dilema, as of the 15th my insurance is going to be frozen as i haven't sent in my n/c certificates i've just found out one of which won't count as i was just jumping around as a named driver, and as for my other certificate i got probably around 2 years ago... and i've been hearing that they expire and was wondering if anyone knew the details about this.

Any help appreciated guys and gals

Usually if you don't have your own insurance for 2 years, it will lapse losing youn your earned no claims bonus. If you have been a named driver, it may be worth shopping around and finding a company that will offer some if not all of your bonus.

I've never had a cert for having no claims :S

i've never had a certificate either, is this because i have stayed with the same company?

dont know man, when admiral automatically renewed my policy they sent me a summary of my old policy which was essentially the proof of no claims.. even though i ended up cancelling with them after

i would have thought all companies sent it to you after each year, but i dont know as I've only got this one lol

I received a certificate of no claims because you need to send them off to your insurer to prove your no claims, but maybe when you try and change insurer thats when they will send your certificates
