sorted got quinn down from £2608 to £1734 by adding my mum on the drivers and having a go at them about it! they put me through to a senior advisor and she said can you hold for me held for 5 mins!!! and then she said I've found a promotional code for you and put that in and got another £300 off   so now i can keep my beloved polo!!!

and for those who want to know they say its business as usual and they have to administrators in who are doing a great job and they are back on the right lines and they are not likely to go under all together and will be working for at least another 2 1/2 years yet!

I lol'd.

When I got made redundant (at 16) I didn't know shit about the company making drawbacks, apart from my assumptions, until I got a letter saying I was most likely going to loose my job.

I am trying to get insured again on my valver, and turning 20 in september. Best thing I found.....morethan £2600 with owning the car for less then 6 months, then tried owning for 1 year the price went down to £2000, then 2 year and it went to £1800. How bizzare :?

Also waiting to turn 20, then I can get insured with brentacre with 0 ncb. I hope they are decent atleast :D

I paid 1600 for my first year 0ncb and only had my licenance a few months, that's with dierct line.. Who are shit, I have got a new car and wanted to change it on my insurance gave them all the details and they said they can't do that till I'm 25? Bullshit no way am I going to wait 4 years I will go with Someone else.

Now I have go wait till august until I'm 21 so I can get insured for around a grand. That is on a Toyota starlet tho

You pay over £2000 for insurance?!! I'd rather ride a bike than get insurance bummed.

wow thats far to expensive!. For mine wich is a 1.0 mk3 polo when i turn 17 with co-op its going to be £700 fully comp 12 month with my dad as main driver and me as named, i also got a quote with co-op on a 1.4 saxo furio and it was only £1100 with dad as main driver and me named again

Insurance is a funny thing but most of the time it makes sense.

If you have owned the car over 6 months then it shows you have experience with it so you get some discount. As opposed to just buying a fast car, insuring it and then going for a thrash without knowing what the car is like.

There is a way round that  buy the car but dont drive it for about a year, make sure its road worthy then insure it, youve had it a year then, but the insurance wont know its been sat on your drive/in your garage all that time  win/win for you

Haha my insurance quotes go down every month from having my car sat in my garage, by about christmas time I might be able to insure it.

Have you tried co-op for insurance?

insurance takes the piss

i'm 27, been driving for 2 years in september but as a named driver so no no-claims and i'm getting quoted between £1300-£1600 for a 1.6 B3 Passat estate that I'd like to get next :crybaby:

did a test and got a quote for a 94' 1.3 skoda estate still £950-shite!!!
