i was exspecting " I've paid my road tax now go fix some fucking pot holes! "

thats pretty funny

x2 i have that one but i must admit some of the quotes lol “Instead of complaining, I’m complimenting Kirklees,” he said. “They’ve done a cracking job of making great potholes.” good man well played lol

 at the stroppy builder on the 2nd page! Anyone can make up a bucket of cement and pour it into a hole!

“I personally manage to avoid any of the ‘huge’ potholes I see when I’m driving my car. Maybe that’s just because I’m a better driver than some.”

deary me!

that council guy is a fucking cock bean

“I personally manage to avoid any of the ‘huge’ potholes I see when I’m driving my car. Maybe that’s just because I’m a better driver than some.”

if its his job, what the fuck is he avoiding them for.

and when you have a huge rut across every lane of a 4 lane motorway, there aint really any way of avoiding.

Awesome!

Haha quality! WTF is that comment about at bottom of page 2? Mother Fucker sounds

high!

“I personally manage to avoid any of the ‘huge’ potholes I see when I’m driving my car. Maybe that’s just because I’m a better driver than some.”

deary me!

Yea, cause we dont have eyes or steering wheels :doubt:

Bet he drives a 4x4 so he cant feel his shitty work! stick him in a slammed polo and i bet he'd work harder

yeah that message is just too funny, he makes no sense, i fix the potholes, and you should dodge the potholes, contradiction?

That message really does make the story, it will anger so many people

made 2nd page of the local paper too, finally my life work is complete

 Good work!!!

Ian.

ha the comments are already making me laugh, "your girlfriend should slow down"

i mean come the fuck on, speed is not the factor you idiots!

didn't you know? speed is the single cause of ALL road related accidents and/or cause of damage. The pot holes are caused by people driving too fast.

you are famous though, people at my work had read the story already before I mentioned it. I'm name dropping now so I sound cool because I know you.

Anyone interested in buying one of Dan’s stickers can visit Ebay and enter the search phrase ‘Kirklees potholes’.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :lol::thumbsup:

I prefer the alternative "Kirklees Cocknoses" stickers.

Ha ha ha Dan you are my (local) HERO!

to be honest i am not going to get loaded from it, far from it.

the guy has replied to my message on ebay:

"Hi Daniel,

I have already been notified of your comments in the Examiner, and read the piece on the Examiner Website. Thankyou for your allowing me a piece of your limelight. I think most people will see your moaning for what it is, an opportunity to cash in and increase sales. I hope you're declaring your earnings from your little bedroom enterprise?

Interesting that from the comments on the website most people seem to agree with me?

On a slightly different note, I wonder if you would be interested in making some stickers for me? I have a good colour photograph of a local "character" who likes moaning about things that aren't really a problem for normal people. And making mountains out of molehills.

I'm thinking of having some bumper stickers made with "whinging bugger" printed under them. It would certainly be a "fun sticker".

Then I may also be able to comment on the quality of your work and you may learn how it feels to have someone completely unqualified rubbish your work"

my reply:

"ha!

man you really know how to moan back, again ironic that isnt it?

cash in on sales, for reference i have sold none of these, they were for my own use and someone said i should put them on ebay, which i did.

I'm not going to make a million from it, again it is the principle of the thing.

You are coming across a very assumptive person, first the comment about "not know how to repair tarmac" that makes 2 of us then, i design for a job, and i know alot about design, you fix tarmac for a living, and clearly by the shite repairs you have no idea.

Then the comment about my "little bedroom enterprise" feel free to come into the office and have your little outburst, that is if you can get time off work, oh, hang on, its midday, day off? not many holes to fix?

And again you are then questioning my accounting, feel free to give Geoff Powney Accountants a ring on 01484 538001

"Not really a problem for normal people" tell me how to drive through Farnley Tyas without banging my suspension and i will happily make your sticker.

And commenting on my work, feel free, i take pride in my work, and know it is quality. I know for a fact you will not and can not say the same!

You started this slagging match, and we can keep it going if you want.

Keep hiding behind the internet mate, good luck in your career

Dan"

LMAO I cant believe how personally hes taking this!

Dan can you make me a sticker saying "Shropshire council; i wish they'd fall into one of their own potholes"

Haha bitter, bitter bastards

Genius!! Wax on, wax off. :D

Ha! The gent from the council has no sense of reality. I love the fact he implies anyone who drives over a pothole is a bad driver(!).

i hope he continues to reply, I'm waiting for a legit threat and will contact the police, but like my mate said, what really has it got to do with him? this is about the council and its ongoing lack of fixing things, he has made all this anger and aggression from nothing!

Hahaha love it Dan. Nice one on sticking up for the grapic designers there too. I get a lot of grief for working in the creative industry. People saying I just draw for a job :p

Can't wait to see his response!
