Awesome Dan, fight the power!

I'm actually set at my computer laughing

that builders response is hillarious

 top lad

lmao!

clearly has no idea what he is saying your response though simply epic

it's no wonder there's so many potholes then if the guy who is supposed to be repairing them is spending all his time emailing people who annoy him instead of getting any work done.

Nice one Fight the machine

i'm going to buy one to support you from Birmingham

Nice one, the dude who replied to you is a reatard i own an aggregate company and can tell you most councils only bodge pot holes! I've had the road outside my house relaid 3 times in five years and before that they had done it done once in fifteen years. I have a feeling you have pikeys running your council!

Could not be more true, Kirklees is the biggest waste of tax payers money, everything they do is in such an arse about face manor! For instance they will resurface a road nice and fresh then a couple of months later they will let various utilities companies dig it all up to put some new cables in etc. Why for the love of god cant they organise to work at the same time thus reducing the amount of time the roads are closed and leaving a nice surface to drive on!!!! they have no logic in how they work!!

love it

That bulider must be amazing at his job, and driving, as he says soo :p

Our council resurfaced most of our estate apart form the one corner which needed resurfacing. Now its got to the point that the surface has worn down so much theres a fine layer of gravel stuff on the surface which isnt too safe on a corner in a road.

Lol. This is awesome. Nice one.

Good work!

i must say i'm a little disappointed you didn't mention the 'now go fuck off and fix some potholes' sticker while you were at it

but fair play for giving them some shit, that builder sounds like a right idiot

Was it a council dude that replied to you via ebay Dan? Sure his bosses at the council would be interested in his very unprofessional mails to you. I know that if I wrote mails like that to customers (and is meant to be providing a service so we're all customers!) I'd get my arse kicked about.

Think they're a little better in Calderdale. Either that or the roads were so shit to start off with, the snow earlier in the year didn't do much to them.

I do know that in York where my parents live, one particular section of road near theres was potholed to feck after the snow. Within a week the WHOLE road surface had been lifted and relaid and its still perfect. Not some temp bodge.

At the end of the day, we're tax payers. We expect to have roads that are suitable to drive on.

Epic! Thats about as good as it gets for getting in a paper.

this thread is hilarious, hope u get a chance to meet the guy, punch him REALLY hard from me, thanks!

yup he just replied

"Dear brownstickers,

Hi Daniel,

I'm a bit confused, you keep saying "again" as if we've had this discussion before? Maybe you've had a lot of negative comments about this item and youre confusing me with others? Again i'm doing this that and the other... I've never done it????

Ironic? No I dont think thats irony at all. Is it?

Assumptive? I'd say more presumtious. Wouldnt you Daniel? And it seems that I presumed correct, because as you say, you dont know anything about how to repair tarmac. "that makes 2 of us then"... no, that just makes you. I know all about it. Now YOURE making assumptions because you have never seen MY work. You've only seen bad work.

Unless youre saying that because some repairs are bad then they all must be? How very narrow minded, and dare I say bigotted?

I would love to come into your office for a chat, but I cant find your address. Is it the back bedroom or the front?

Yes its Midday. I finished my shift at 9am (12hrs, repairing roads, for you to drive on), and I'm back on at 9pm

he is an utter idiot, i can not believe the rubbish he is saying!

and another:

Dear brownstickers,

Tell you how to drive?

Surely youve passed a test? I drive through Farnley Tyas everyday. I never "bang" my suspension. Maybe Its just that our driving skills are different?

I do take pride in my work Daniel.

Please tell me where you have seen my work and i'll allow you to rubbish it.

You need to realise that the repairs we do are the only repairs the funding will allow us to do. We would love to resurface all the roads, but there is no money. You seem to want to hold Kirlklees responsible and rubbish the workers. In fact, all we do is what we're told to do.

So maybe aim your petty childish stickers at Tony Blair and Gordon Brown?

Oh I see you already have.

I'm not hiding behind anything "mate", and actually you started it by having a pop at a whole workforce based on nothing but your own blinkered opinion.

Hey, one more question. If your the great designer you think you are, how come youre just designing stickers and flogging em on ebay?

- eric_of_troy

Well surely he should be working now then instead of mailing you????

This guy is funny.....he musnt be getting any at home as all this bitterness over a sticker!!
