anyone spotted what looks like a mark 1 golf on page 7 of todays sun paper?

If its in South Africa then its no surprise - possibly the most popular car ever,there's one on every other street.

They've had the MK1 Golf all along,they've only just stopped making them if they're not still being built.

If its over here,some have been privately imported and a couple of companies imported them. Not popular though,as all the modifications to make them road legal here pushed the price to a level not even an enthusiast would pay,with it next to a restored German one.

This is without doubt the best one they got..

its the one in the pic above - except its from behind and as the papers black and white I couldnt tell if it was silver or white!

I pointed this out at work when i was reading it.

I think I have problems to be fair...

theres a few citigolfs around old and new, such a crying shame they didnt make the r version in 3 door, but noone wants a 3 door taxi!

I'm sure prices were around 14k in uk pounds over there, if i had the money id love to import one as it would be awesome to have that next to a old mk1

my dad ust to have 1 bort it as a write off as the wishbone and wheel was fucked after i repaired it was mint as fook it was but ended up sellin it :/
