I dont think youd have to. Personally I wouldnt. For all they know you could of had to change it due to it being damaged and you haven't had the time to get it resprayed yet.

the majority of the car is silver so it doesnt matter like minis with odd roofs they are declared as the body colour however if you only had a silver bonnet and black car registered as a silver one then they can get iffy but aslong as frame numbers match and all that youll be fine i remember getting stopped in my old lood when it was registered silver and was actually primer so they popped the bonnet asked for the frame number from the dvla and was ok with it but it shouldnt matter really on the insurance and dvla dont give a flying so... dont worry
