I've also never seen a car on coils look good lowered 120mm either.

so if it's lowered 120mm on coils it looks shit, but what if it's lowered exactly the same on air ride? and how would you even be able to tell how it was lowered from a distance? or would you wait until you knew what kind of lowering it had before giving it your seal of approval?

Your choice of wheel and tire size will dictate how low you can go mate. If you let us know the specs of your new rims we could give you more detailed advice

You don't need to shorten the driveshafts, literally don't understand why you would need to.

What you do need to do though is notch the chassis leg that the driveshaft and ARB will rub on.

I don't think I have ever seen a car genuinely dropped by 120mm.

although if you take the tires into account it would be a lot lower than 120mm from standard

the roads gonna give you enough headaches being that low!

Hottuning coilies are sold on ebay yes? I bet the ride IS as hard as you fear!

i think your coilovers are fucked mate

I reckon a genuine 120mm drop with coilovers and on stock wheels would see the car IN the ground. Plus if you have coilovers you have to take the helpers out to get anywhere near over 100mm.

ok, the wheel and tyre spec I'm going for is 7.5_165_50_R15

i fitted the front today and lowered to the bottom and it was ridiculouse, lookd good but drove round the block and every single dent in the road the car smacked the floor, so i raised in 2cm, 20mm and its still doing it but not so bad.... when i fit the rears tomorrow i will raise another 10mm so it will be 90mm front 90mm rear, if it still does it, up to 80 80.. :( i do get that smack from the ARB but only on pot holes and missing tarmac (WHAT DO WE PAY OUR ROAD TAX FOR).

how do i sort the ARB problem out ??? i know people say cut some off, but i dont know what part to cut of or how, thanks

low spec 6n and think 6n 2 dont have a anti rol bar anyway do they ? :-) if you they do , you should be able to get adjestable drop links off something like a mk4 golf , you wil need to get rid of the baloon tyres and get some 185 45 15 i think
