I'd be interested in the answer to that question too as I have a set of wheels that need polishing but the edge of the rim is in a right state!

get someone to weld a lip on and then shape it with a file,I've done that to wheels before,file it as close as you can and then a little bit of filler over it does the trick,you couldnt do that if you was having them polished but if being painted its ok

take it down flat , so it's flush or I'm going to leave a slight lip .

What wheels u got bud ?

yes that's the other solution , get some Ali weld and bulid it back up .

Two choice :

flaten them down

What ever the choice they going to look the mutts nuts anyways

as i said i would here a pic of mirror polishing , i know its not much but u can imagine what they look like completly mirror polished all over .
