howdy

I've just aquired a polo coupe, its just a 1 litre job. I've got it as a run around for a while and thought id tidy the thing up before i part company with it. I was hoping you guys might have some ideas on what i can do with it. Please dont say drive it, thats not funny. I've had a look at some of the gallery photos but what I've seen seems to be work in progress. any ideas would be appreciated.

is it a mk2 or 3?

either way it isn't really worth doing much to the engine on 1ltrs, maybe do a mk3 golf induction mod.

as for exterior, make the paint as shiny as possible, lower it a good amount and stick some nice 13" or 14" wheels on it. If you want something a bit cheaper then try debadged grille or sprayed badges and clear front and side indicators.

interior mods people do are generally new steering wheel, some people take the back seats out if they don't use them, and possibly buy some gt seats.

I am of course only listing the more common modifications on this site, in reality there is a whole range of things you can do!

personally my favourite mod on my car is the upgraded sounds :)

Clean, tidy and original. If you can make the most of that, its a good look.

But my Coupe-S was derived from an almost identical car with the 1.0 engine. We all drive around at traffic speed so there's no reason why it shouldn't look like a G40.

Much as i prefer the wolf in sheeps clothing to drive,i see no reason why your 1.4i Escort, should you choose to drive one, shouldn't look as good as an Escort Cosworth.
