set of pricks testers it's not like it's dangerouse or out plus i'm ovs guna be going faster when i pass i am a 17 year old lad :ninja:

agreed. Lots of old gits get away with doing 15 in a 40 so as long as your safe, i cant see what the problem is either!

Unlucky mate.

I got a minor for doing 50 in a 60 when the roads were like tight s bends, it's stupid tbh.

Better look next time :)

I was on a narrow country road during my test, there were no speed limit signs so I played it safe and sensible at 40, there were no other cars around, and got failed for driving too slow. What a joke.

F*cking mad at least you only got a minor :( fuck it i'm keeping my foot down for the full test next time show them which side of me they prefer!

I got a minor for going too slow too! Country road and was pretty tight, doing just over 50 round pretty tight bends, and he still moans.

Are you supposed to just do 60 everywhere?

bummer mate , i got a minor for doing 50 in a 40 ... on a slip road which was poorly marked and changed Speed within like 200m , even my examiner understood my mistake . but it was my only minor so i think thats why i had gotten away with it .. if id had a few minors maybe id have failed .

but take it again mate ! get it done ! :D oh and good luck :D

Edited by bish vw

4th august? I booked mine for the first time the other day, earliest I got was the 24th of August :(

my 1st test they sayed i drove a bit slow but didnt fail me on that, Just pulling out infront of someone :)

But my second test i failed for speeding

thats stupid at least you werent speeding!

What was the actual specified reason? Its "40 maximum" so unless you were driving at 10-15mph you were at no risk and they cannot fail you for that!

"The speed limit is the legal maximum at which a vehicle can travel on that particular stretch of road. it is not a target and should not be treat as one"

Say that to the examiner and say that doing (35 in a 40) is perfectly legal.

if you've got a 6 mile tailback behind you then yeah, put your foot down and do 42. if not, there's no reason to fail you for that.

That pisses me off cause it's called a speed 'limit'. it's the fastest you can go in that certain zone....

There is however such a thing as insufficient progress, having said that, 35 in a 40 would be perfectly acceptable to me.

what a joke. completely depends on your examiner i think at the end of the day but they do seem to like confidence..

the examiner in mine paniced and grabbed the steering wheel and i could feel the brake being pushed (by her) when i was passing parked cars with traffic coming towards me and shouted there's not enough room. i just accelerated more ha. there was plenty of room in my opinion so i carried on lol and she appologised after :)

i think they fail it on more then your not confident enough to get upto speed and possibly cause dangers on the road etc tec

Gets me angry :( just got a cancellation for the 31st :) try again tomorrow see if i can get an earlier one :)

I failed my first test on something idiotic! Stupid bint told me to go right so i was heading upto the junction where it slightly veers (sp?) off to the right to go across the junction but doesnt do this till literally one size of a cars legnth so i was driving upto it she didnt even give me chance to steer into it and she grabbed the wheel and forced the car over, aparently i was causing a hazard to the other drivers (note there were no other cars around AT ALL) to this day i disagree with her judgement! As i have drove down this road many a time since i have drove and still gets me a little wound up that £100 or so was wasted on her idiocy!

PS - You do know you can appeal against it?

Edited by Marru

there is a way but they say that they cannot alter the outcome of the test. So, if you failed for her idiocy and appealed against it, you would still have failed. iirc that is.

What a pisstake! Not good mate, sorry to hear about it.

When I was learning my instructor just told me to get up to the speed limit asap as long as it was safe to do so. I always had my foot flat to the floor in the fiesta(As it was diesel) I really needed to give it some!

Just keep looking out for cancellations mate, sure you will find one.

you can put the examiners skill under question though and have an investigation done, if it turns out he/she is a failure of a tester, they will lose thier license and job.

good times.

personally id be doing that, as the examiner sounds like a thai sweet cnut
