As much as it pains me to do this, I have a set of 4 Genuine Speed Star Racing RS8 2 piece Split Rims up for sale. These are Japanese import wheels.

They have recently been refurbed, with the centres and bolts painted in Volkswagen Diamond Black Metallic, and the rims in Volkswagen Diamond Silver.

These are exceptionally lightweight, I think I have read only about 6 kilos a piece! (I can weigh one if you really want!)

They are 6x14 and 4x100 stud pattern. Stamped on the back is 'Speed Star Racing' 'RS Eight' and 'Made in Japan'

The wheels are not in perfect condition - They have had a ding on one rim, and a couple of bits of kerbing which I have repaired (hence painting them silver rather than polishing them) but as you will see in the pictures they have come up very respectably with some TLC.

Two of the wheels have Goodyear Eagle F1s on in a 185/60 flavour, with a decent bit of tread remaining, the other two are without tyres.

One still needs bolting back together - All the bolts etc are there, I just haven't got round to it yet. The price below is for all 4 finished and bolted up, or if you want to finish the last one yourself, I will knock £15 off!

Currently in Cardiff, but could take to Walsall, West Mids for pick up if that's easier. Alternatively can Courier anywhere in mainland UK for an extra £30

Cheers fella, you aren't wrong, they weigh virtually nothing. I had heard they were light, but when I went and picked them up, I couldn't believe quite how light they were! I am a bit gutted to be selling up to be honest, particularly after rebuilding them, but needs must and all that. I need cash more than the wheels at the minute unfortunately

have you tried advertising them on either the mx5 forum or retro rides, they would sell no trouble on there especially for £250

Cheers Mate, yeah they are up on retro rides, but not Mx5 forum as I'm not a member on any mx5 ones. I thought these would dissapear virtually instantly at this price!

i bought mine off the mx5 forum well 3 and another 2 from a scrap yard awesome rims

Back up there - I will finish bolting the 4th one together this weekend, and am dropping the price to £220 - Bargains!

sick wheels similar to my BR-R's, GLWS mate

got a set of these myself on my polo but in 6.5x15" instead and they are real light rims
