Black 6n

Featured Replies

Having writen off my MK3 Golf CC recently and only having it insured 3rd party i have been after a cheap polo to mess about with, looked in all the usual places but could not find anything for the money i had and it looked like i was not gonna find one. I only fancied a polo because there was a tidy black one down the road which i always see Whilst walking my dogs.. To cut a long story short turns out my wife knows the couple who own it and they want to sell it, "its got a few things wrong with it" he said and i bought it lets just say, quite cheap :)

It stayed like that for a few days other than some cleaning.

I have these Turbines on my mk1 but they needed tyres and i only ever got round to polishing 2 of them

Anyway as time was short i had 4 new 195 45 15's fitted (i ain't interested in stretch), and i painted the other 2 black, fitted them this morning, gave it another clean, fitted a shorter ariel and satin blacked the grill badge

Here she is for now

sweet car dude!

loving the turbines i have recently brought a set and they suit the 6n very well.

they look nice polised up, i would do that with mine if i wernt changing car in august

  • Author

thanks rustproof. she passed, just needed a sidelight bulb 8-)

I reckon Matte black/Anthracite, the polish looks odd to me as it's the only silver thing on the car.

Cracking little motor though, you sure got it shiney 8)

Firstly sorry for the poor pics again. I'm still unsure what to so with the wheels, prob going to paint them black with a speedline decal.

Today i lowered the front some more and did some more cleaning, not to happy to be honest, my coils are almost on the lowest setting :x

Also painted the rear badge

Looks good man, the paint looks great, really shiny!

What other plans do you have for it, maybe tint the lights and indicators?

  • Author

Yeah rear lights and front indicators are going black, gonna sort the wheels and would like some 16v bumpers, i'll get busy and do another update over the weekend. :-D

^^ thanks, will do.

Looks nice! Maybe remove the bump strips for an even cleaner finish? Down to personal preference of course!

Those wheel's are spot on, good choice

Good bye Mr reverse light :-D

Not sure weather or not to do the indicators?

Hopefully getting new seats soon too

all comments welcome as always..............................

Edited by Deane46

Looks good. Imo doing the indicators would make it look like 6n2 rear lights - except with better fitment ;)

  • Author

don't the 6n2 rears fit correctly then? i might have a go at it in the week, am i right in thinking i need green bulbs though?

Your rims look too awesome, in my opinion the rims painted black with the red look much better than the non-painted one.

In your pics have you polished your polo, coz it looks so shiny.

  • Author

Cheers :-D, yes i clayed it with megs, then used my machine buffer (proper bodyshop one) with 3M finesse it. HTH,

had a lot of messages asking about the rear light paint, i got it from www.rainbowglass.co.uk, cheep as chips..

  • Author
