alright everyone, i've got a completely standard 1998 polo 6n. I'm wanting to do some 'mild' modification to it starting with a 40mm spax ssx lowering spring kit. I'm just wondering if the standard 6n shock absorber will be ok with the springs, how long they will last and will there be any rubbing in the wheel arch.

i'm sorry if this is a stupid question or it has been asked a thousand times before but iv only just passed my test and have never done any car modification before and i thought this will be an easy point to start at.

The shocks will be fine, but wont last as long as they would with standard springs.

I had 50mm cobra springs on and the shocks were fine.
