Is it possible to put a newer badge on my 6n boot without modifications? I'd love to go down the smooth route but funds won't allow, I've seen the newer badges on ebay e.g. Off of the mk5 golf etc. but no-one gives the badge diameter, I just thought this would be a great way to freshen up the rear end and get rid of the tacky standard badge.

erm.... no youd have to do a little adapting.

the smoothing isnt really that expensiveto do yourelf... a £10 kit of fibreglass from halfrauds and some body filler. its the painting thats the bank breaker :s

try a scrap yard, find some badges, some vw badges are flat and you can just stick them straight over the hole where the 6n badge lives.

Rear badge from a VR6 Highline fits and is a nice mod. Be careful though as the rear VW badge on a Highline model is different to a standard VR6 hence a little hard to come by, and expensive new on ebay. A couple of guys on here have them fitted, might put up a pic if I can find any. I bought a second hand one for mine but the guy decided to break the clips removing it, idiot.
