intake changes on insurance?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have been looking at ecars modified policies just out of interest (as i am on a standard policy with them). From what i can see you dont have to tell them if you change the layout of your intake. There is the option of a performance air filter but nothing about changing the tubing etc. I was just wondering as i am planing on changing the tubing and airbox, but with home made stuff and an apriliars125 airbox and a standard filter. Just wondering if i would have to claim as it is a modification?

If you are doing it by the books as one would say, it would be safest to ring them up first. My guess is they won't pass the opportunity to get more money.

just relocating the cold air feed you should get away with but changing the airbox from standard is a mod.

just log in to your account and get a quote :-)
