I bought the car a year ago and ran it how it looked up until the end of last year and decided i needed to put my own stamp on the car. So while the car was in winter mode i decided to pull my finger out and get about it, first came the wheels, got the dishes mirror polished and then came the hard part...what to do with the centres...i wanted something different...so flat colours were out. Then my gaffer showed me a sample of the marble effect...i had to have it. So a good flat and a mask and the wheels were painted candy apple red with a marble effect.

With the wheels done and a few trips into work to have the bodywork sorted, i was happy with the outside. For the interior, i was initially looking for some Mk3 Golf C.C seats until i stumbled across the Alfa's. A week or so later they were in my garage. With a donor set of Polo seats acquired and the back seats sent to the trimmers, i set about fabricating the seat rails...which was quite simple tbh.

And now i have the ONLY 6n Polo with front and rear Alfa 147 leather seats.

The only future plans i have is to get the door cards and parcel retrimmed, probably in red leather to match the seats, do an Audi TT petrol cap conversion and make a custom sub box built to fit into the alcove in the boot and have a nice little set up.

Anyway, i wont bore you any longer, theres much more i could say about the car since I've owned it cause i have done so much to it myself...especially the bodywork [helps that i work in 2 bodyshops tbh]

Mate I don't think your far off feature/show winning standard! Id only change the roof strips to colour coded 6n2 numbers and lose the massive aeria. And probably black b pillars but that's just my opinion! Just needs more ponies! Cams I reckon and bike carbs would do it the world of good! How's the sport cat for increasing performance!

well I'm gonna go to the trimmers tomorrow and get a price on retrimming my door cards in red leather to match the seats.

i personally think the black 'B' pillars only suit silver 6ns but thats just me.

as for the roof strips, I'm thinking about it...might have a look around at breakers and try and get some possibly with the addition of a 6n2 windscreen aswell.

i have a set of cams out of a Mk3 Polo GT [direct fit I've been told, but I'm not a mechanic so dont know what to do] as for the cat...as the cars only an 8v, your never gonna get a load of horses out of it...just a shed load of nice haha.

i did but because the valves dont come out of the rim far enough, they dont screw all the way on, it that makes sense.

yeah they do but you need a vernier pulley to time it up correctly iirc!

so today i went to my trimmers and next saturday i will be dropping all the doorcards off and having them retrimmed in red leather with some double french stitching =)

should take him a week, maybe more and then the car will be ready for the Polo show.

so the interior looks like this...doesnt half rattle lol.

and because I've had to disconnect my twitters, the audio is fucking awful haha.

fully stripped cards [cant get the tweeters off, so my trimmer will have to becareful lol]

the rear cards are out aswell, but cba to take pictures of them lol.
