  • Looks so nice!# Love the colour on those wheels.

  • i dont have any centres on them, there just steels. i didnt have chance to repaint them before i put them on. i sold my G60s for £200, bought these for £50 and then they ended up going on the car

brilliant work mate, its cars like this that are the reason i love vw's when done correctly they are awesome.

comments and critisms welcome as always.

love the tt flap not a fan of the gold bolts but like you say its your car so your choice :D

thats gunna look fappin awesome

I'd have gone with red bolts to match the rest.. Gold kinda has no place on your car.

But then red could look tacky?

Unless you get gold split bolts for the wheels?

oh and yeah, it looks awesome!!

Need to see it with the wheels on

Edited by B-shaw

as said on fb, this is now one of my favourite polos....youve done what needed to be done and taken it further =D

you do need to spray that splitter though or get a gti one on there!!! and you could tie the bolts in by switching to studs and getting gold nuts the same as chris phillips has, like the red ones i had as at the minute as nice as they look its just random gold

Now i like the tt cap!!!!

:D

Spray the splitter to what?

I didn't want to go down the GTI route, wanted something from the norm.

As for the gold, it was a little touch I wanted...something to make it stand out and not to over do.

Think they mean spray the splitter gloss black so that it looks new as it looks a little faded compared to the mint car good work :)

Fuck you Sean!! My hairs not ginger!! It's brown.

My beards ginger though.

The splitter does come up nice with a bit of back to black or tyre shine...it's just dusty atm.

More updates when I get in.

6hrs worth of polishing, using 3 different polishes and 3 different mop heads.

DSCF0783.jpg

i was naughty and got a run in the door :(

DSCF0784.jpg

and i also forgot to mask the door handle holes out, overspray much haha...this was cured by water and a sharp blade.

gorgeous work ginge ;) lol

6n2 windscreen on the cards i hope too

  • Author

funny you should say that actually.........

driving to my mates shop this morning i heard an almighty bang as a stone hit the windscreen.

when i was cleaning the glass up after polishing her, i noticed it had left a very nice chip in the screen.

so rather than having Gavin from Autoglass come down to "stick his special resin" ;) into it, i may go down that route.

do it!!!! wont be able to get it done on the insurance as they replace like for like but they only cost like 110 rrp so surely you should be able to use contacts in the business to get it cheaper =D it would properly finish it off!!!

  • Author

my mate used to work for TPS and still gets discount ;)

plus itd match the 6n2 roof trims in better aswell.

Very nice job on the paint, makes me excited to get mine done now! Sorry if it's a stupid question but what is different about the 6n2 screen?

  • Author

its not rounded on the top corners if that makes sense?

rather than curving round, the corner comes straight up to the door.

Looks sweet Rob . Good work my friend . Loving that TT cap with the gold bolts looks spot on . Get the rims back on now bud and jobs a good one . Dave
