I use someone in Bridgnorth...he's a Jag retrimming specialist.

His dads not been well recently so I haven't bothered him...but seeing as I'll be on display outside UD I need it this week.

Shes bot mint anymore, daily use has turned it into a dirty rainwater mess haha.

Just cut the plugs off the mirrors and replace the 6n2 plug with the 6n one.

I soldered, heat skrink wrapped and insulated taped mine.

More updates tonight...I'm popping up my mates after dinner to get some more work done.

Thats amazing! love it!

shit I've been caught red handed!!

We have a comedian in the room..!!

And I like it as it fits in with the colour scheme, If it was just that at that colour it wouldn't work and would look wrong :)

  • Author

I thought it was quite amusing haha.

I think that's it for the marble...don't want to over do it.

  • Author

Rob is your marble effect positive or negative ???

  • Author

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

There's 2 types of marble effect positive and negative there both done different ways and get a different out come just wondering what way you have done yours as have done a few marble effect paints b4 and was just wondering

  • Author

Don't know the difference between pos and neg but all my marbles done with black base coat, Outrageous marble effect paste, red dye (to colour the marble) and lacquer.

I like it =D and i dont normally like your wacky ideas lol really do love this car =D

  • Author

What ideas haven't you liked?

Will look better when I finish the wheel...will get that done Friday/Saturday.

Yeah when I did I used black base coat then outrageous marble (which is basicly just water base silver) then I would use candy red

The difference between neg an pos it the way the marble effect was aclty done did you use a plastic sheet ???

  • Author

Alot of people don't understand it's a red dye NOT a paint.

Ye, just an off cut of plastic car bagging for my wheels...the Momo was done with a Tesco carrier bag haha.

Also works well with cling film which I used on the roof.

did you not use candy ??? yeah if you use the plastic differently you get a different effect its kinda hard to explane lol looks very well by the way wish i had mine done as quick as you lol i have still loadzzzzz to do :-( but i will get there lol

the bentley ash tray lol

its just there, but i get why you have it and its your car....this car is getting on par with christians white 6n now !!!

  • Author

From the whole car, that's the only thing wrong for you?

It's a function over form thing...me and the missus both smoke and on fast journeys ie. motorway or late night country road bashing. It's easier to stick them in there than throw out the window haha.

Plus it's posh to say I have an ashtray that's costs £400 from a Bentley Mulsanne haha.

  • Author

It costs Bentley £300 to make them and they sell them for £400...I paid £30 for it off eBay.

That with a Continental GT gearknob I picked up for £40 and a Contiental GT light I got for free haha.

I have no idea what your concept means...can you do a dodgy mock up on paint haha.

honestly rob, that is the only thing i dont like but i think what polomon is getting at is that if it was set into the dash rather than just screwed on the surround it would look better and i have to agree
